Privacy Policy
1. Who we are, and which apps this policy covers
This Privacy Policy is published by Khrystyna Shevchuk — the developer named on both store listings — and it applies to Radio Live, the internet radio app for Android, iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Radio Live is available on Google Play (Android) and Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad and Mac).
Throughout this policy, “the app”, “we” and “us” refer to that app and to Khrystyna Shevchuk as the party responsible for them. For data-protection purposes, Khrystyna Shevchuk, established in Ukraine, is the data controller.

2. What the app is
Radio Live is a directory of internet radio streams. It lists publicly broadcast stations and connects you to them. You do not need to create an account, give a name, or give an email address to use it.
3. Information you give us directly
- Search terms you type when looking for a station. These are recorded as analytics events so we can see which stations people look for and cannot find.
- Broken-stream reports. When a station fails to play you can report it. The report contains the station identifier and is stored on our servers linked to your anonymous app identifier (see section 5).
- Stations you add yourself, including any stream address you enter.
- Your messages to us if you write to radio.rlive@gmail.com or contact us through the social accounts linked in the app. These contain whatever you choose to put in them.
4. Information collected automatically
The app does collect information automatically. Specifically:
- Usage and interaction data — which screens you open, which stations you play, when the paywall is shown, what you search for. Collected through Google Analytics for Firebase.
- Device and app data — device model, operating system version, language, region, app version, and identifiers Google and Apple assign to the app installation.
- Diagnostic and crash data — stack traces, device state at the time of a crash, and technical logs. Collected through Firebase Crashlytics, and on iPhone and iPad additionally through Sentry.
- Advertising identifiers and ad interactions — on iPhone and iPad only, where the app shows advertising. See section 7.
- Playback records — our own servers record which stations are played and which fail, linked to your anonymous app identifier, so that we can find and repair dead streams.
5. Your anonymous app identifier
On first launch the app signs in anonymously through Firebase Authentication. This creates a random identifier for the installation. It is not tied to your name, email address, phone number or any account of yours, and we cannot use it to identify you personally. We use it to keep your favourites and settings consistent, and to attribute broken-stream reports so a single device cannot distort our data.
Deleting and reinstalling the app produces a new identifier and disconnects you from the previous one.
6. Third-party services we use
The app includes software from the companies listed below. Where a service is present on only some platforms, that is stated. Each of these companies processes data under its own privacy policy.
| Service | Provider | Platforms | What it is used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac | Usage and interaction analytics | |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac | Crash and error reporting | |
| Firebase Authentication | Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac | Anonymous installation identifier | |
| Cloud Firestore | Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac | Station catalogue and app settings storage | |
| Firebase App Check | iPhone, iPad, Mac | Verifying requests come from a genuine copy of the app | |
| Google AdMob | iPhone, iPad | Advertising | |

Their policies: Google, Meta, Sentry.
7. Advertising
The iPhone and iPad app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. The Android and Mac apps do not show advertising.
- On iPhone and iPad, Apple requires your permission before an app may use the device advertising identifier (IDFA) to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. The app asks for that permission through Apple’s own prompt. If you decline, advertising still appears but is not personalised using that identifier.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app additionally shows a consent form through Google’s User Messaging Platform before requesting ads, and honours the choice you make there. You can reopen that form at any time from the app’s settings.
- Buying a subscription removes advertising from the app, and with it the ad-related collection described in this section.
8. Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple or Google, not by us. Your payment details are handled entirely by the store and are never sent to us or seen by us. We receive only whether the installation currently holds an active subscription.
9. What we use the information for
- Running the app: playing streams, keeping favourites, remembering settings.
- Finding and repairing broken stations, using playback records and your reports.
- Understanding which stations and countries people want, so we know what to add.
- Diagnosing crashes and fixing defects.
- Showing and measuring advertising on iPhone and iPad, and measuring which advertisement led to an install.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles ourselves.
10. Legal bases (for users in the EEA and the UK)
- Performance of a contract — operating the app and delivering the streams and features you asked for.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the catalogue working, diagnosing crashes, and preventing abuse of our servers.
- Consent — personalised advertising and the tracking that supports it. You give or refuse it in the prompts described in section 7, and you may withdraw it at any time from the app’s settings.
11. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers listed in section 6, each acting for the purposes stated there, and where we are legally required to disclose it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own independent marketing.
12. International transfers
The providers named in section 6 operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider maintains, described in their policies linked above.
13. How long we keep it
Analytics and crash data are retained according to the retention settings of the provider concerned, currently up to fourteen months for Firebase Analytics event data and ninety days for Sentry. Playback records and broken-stream reports on our own servers are kept while they remain useful for repairing the catalogue. If you ask us to delete data associated with your installation, we do so as described in section 14.
14. Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the information held about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to radio.rlive@gmail.com. Because the app holds no name or email address, please include the anonymous identifier shown in the app’s settings so we can find the right records. We answer within thirty days.
You can also act directly, without contacting us:
- Delete the app. Everything stored on the device goes with it, and the anonymous identifier is no longer connected to you.
- Reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device settings — iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads.
- Withdraw advertising consent from the app’s settings, where the consent form can be reopened.
15. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, write to radio.rlive@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Radio stations are third-party broadcasts and their content is outside our control; some may not be suitable for children.
16. Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, and our providers do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top always shows when the current version took effect, and the current version is always the one published at this address. Material changes will be announced in the app.
